Strate Labs Shut Down: The July 2026 Closure and the ITC Paper Trail

On this page

Strate Labs closed on July 1, 2026, posting a closure notice on stratelabs.com that cited the shifting regulatory landscape and stated pending orders would ship as scheduled or be refunded automatically. The company had earlier been named a respondent in Eli Lilly's complaint to the U.S. International Trade Commission over tirzepatide, filed October 19, 2023 and supplemented November 10, 2023; it was found in default in May 2024 and received an ITC cease-and-desist order in early 2025.

Is Strate Labs closed?

Yes. Strate Labs posted a closure notice on its own website on July 1, 2026, and stratelabs.com has served that notice since ("StrateLabs has permanently closed"). Per The Peptide Catalog's roundup of the closure, the wind-down also ran clearance discounts across the catalog. The notice states the site itself will be taken offline permanently; its footer gives August 1, 2026, and it states that all order history has been removed.

Why did Strate Labs shut down?

The company's own notice cites the regulatory environment: "The regulatory landscape around our industry has shifted in ways that make it impossible for us to continue operating" in the way its customers had come to expect, the notice reads. It names no specific enforcement action, lawsuit, or agency.

What the public record adds is an intellectual-property enforcement trail at the U.S. International Trade Commission that predates the closure by more than two years:

  • October 19, 2023: Eli Lilly files an ITC complaint concerning tirzepatide (supplemented November 10, 2023); Strate Labs is among the named respondents.
  • May 2024: Strate Labs is found in default in the ITC proceeding, per the Commission's Federal Register notice terminating the investigation, which records Strate Labs LLC of Spring, Texas among the respondents found in default on May 15, 2024.
  • Early 2025: The ITC issues cease-and-desist orders directed against the defaulting respondents, per the same Federal Register notice (scheduled for publication April 15, 2025).

Whether the ITC action factored into the July 2026 closure is not something the company has stated, and this article does not speculate. The dates above are the documented sequence.

What about pending Strate Labs orders?

The notice addresses this directly: "If you have a pending order, it will ship as scheduled." It adds that if an order cannot be fulfilled, "you will receive a full refund automatically" with no action needed. Facts only, no legal advice: that commitment is the company's own published statement, and standard card-network dispute processes also exist independently of any vendor.

Note the order-history point above, though. Account records are no longer self-service: the notice states order history has been removed from the site, while inviting customers to request archived materials by email. Documentation a customer did not download in time — COAs, batch records, invoices — may still be retrievable that way, but only by request, and only for as long as someone answers that inbox.

What does the closure mean for stranded researchers?

Strate Labs is one of several storefronts that exited between mid-2025 and mid-2026, and its closure carries the same operational lesson as the others, sharpened by the order-history removal: documentation held only inside a vendor's account system stops being self-service the moment the vendor winds down — here it survives only as an email request to a closing company.

For research programs that sourced from Strate Labs, the immediate work is requalification: identify a replacement source, review its analytical documentation, and compare batch-level data before continuing structure-sensitive work. Our guide to sourcing quality tiers covers how to grade candidate suppliers, and COA red flags covers what disqualifies a document on sight.

Where do researchers go from here?

Black Series Lab is a US-based supplier of premium research-grade peptides, independently HPLC-verified and third-party tested, with a Certificate of Analysis per batch. Identity is confirmed by mass spectrometry — our article on mass-spec identity verification explains exactly what that testing does and does not establish.
