What is Thymalin?

Thymalin is a synthetic dipeptide consisting of L-glutamic acid and L-tryptophan (Glu-Trp). With the molecular formula C₃₃H₅₄N₁₂O₁₅ and a molecular weight of 859.9 g/mol (CAS: 79621-14-0), Thymalin is the active component of thymosin fraction 5 and represents the simplest thymic hormone analog.
